Icons Of Victory - TransForm
(100 + Artists - 1980, 1989, 2009)

The exhibition Icons Of Victory - TransForm - is an attempt to present  various records of transformations - those undergone by whole nations and societies as well as those which change ourselves personally. Over 100 artists of different age and nationalities participate. From documentary photographs, presenting the  sometimes dramatic, sometimes funny and often absurd events of the 80s and 90s, to paintings, collages, and multimedia works reflecting the various possible ways for modern transformations. Some of the works have no historical or political background and are concerned with the transformation within their own matter.  The opportunity to participate in this exchange of views, or to be able to only explore the form - is perhaps our only true victory icon.
